Independence
What are Independence Supports?
Our independence supports help you stay connected, take part in activities you enjoy and manage everyday life as your needs change. We work with you to understand your interests, routines and relationships so your support reflects the life you want to lead. This may include companionship, assistance to attend appointments or community activities, help with personal affairs, or respite that gives your usual carer time for other commitments. Throughout your support, we respect your choices and encourage you to remain involved in the things that matter to you.
Respite
Our flexible respite provides care and companionship while your usual informal carer takes a break, attends appointments or manages other commitments. Support can be arranged in your home or the community, individually or in a group setting, depending on your needs and agreed arrangements. We work with you and, with your agreement, your carer to understand your routines, preferences and support needs so you can feel comfortable and supported while they are away.
